Basic Life Support (BLS, 3 hours)

Overview

Basic Life Support covers the immediate actions required when a person is unresponsive and not breathing normally. It includes early recognition of cardiac arrest, calling 999, starting high-quality CPR, using an Automated External Defibrillator as soon as it is available, placing an unresponsive breathing person in the recovery position, and managing choking. This course is written to align with current Resuscitation Council UK guidance for adult basic life support.
